As a service to the community, Chatham Area Transit places interior cards with public service announcements in its buses from nonprofit organizations wanting to make customers aware of important issues and resources.

Current Advertising Program
Only interior bus card advertising is accepted.
Exterior advertising (buses, bus stops, or facilities) is not allowed.
Advertising is available only to non-profit organizations.
CAT has approximately 50 buses in its fixed-route fleet.
Agencies may submit up to 100 signs (2 per bus), though CAT does not guarantee every sign will be displayed on every bus.
Sign Specifications
Size: 11 inches high x 28 inches wide
Material: .020 styrene preferred
Advertising Duration
Signs will be posted for a minimum of 3 calendar months, or until their stated expiration.
Unused signs will be retained by CAT for replacements or returned to the agency.
Approval Process
All designs must be submitted before production to CAT’s Public Information and Communications Officer.
Designs must be legible, professional, and appropriate for public transit riders.
Unapproved signage may be rejected or returned with explanation.
Prohibited Advertising
CAT does not permit advertising that:
Is political, religious, or discriminatory in nature
Depicts or promotes unsafe behavior, violence, weapons, alcohol, or tobacco
Is profane, obscene, or unsuitable for public and youth audiences
Implies CAT endorsement without express written consent
Contains or links to prohibited content (including via phone number or website)
CAT reserves the right to refuse or revoke advertising at its discretion.
